This captive-reared female emerged on 2-25-2008. Note the piece of pupal shell stuck to her upper thorax. I carefully removed it with tweezers for the subsequent photos.
This pair of Green Sphinx moths was taken near Castiac on 2-8-2007. The ova and subsequent generation of larvae depicted on the rearing page are the progeny of the female below. Thanks to Dave Wikle for these two specimens and resulting ova!
